Trama
Five carnival workers—Harley (played by Malcolm McDowell), Roscoe (Lawrence Taylor), Venus (Jane Carr), Sick-Head (Richard Brake), and Sex-Head (Torsten Voges)—are kidnapped while driving through Texas in a van with the carnival's owner, Captain Spaulding (Sid Haig). They are taken to an abandoned compound called 'Heaven's Hell,' where they encounter a group of sadistic clowns led by Doom-Head (Richard Brake again). The clowns force the workers into a deadly game where they must survive for 12 hours against various killers and obstacles. The rules of the game are simple: if they can last until 3:00 AM, they will be released. However, the carnies soon realize that survival is nearly impossible due to the sadistic nature of their adversaries.

Riepilogo
'31' (2016), directed by Rob Zombie, is a horror film set in the 1970s amidst a traveling carnival in Texas. The movie follows five carnival workers who are kidnapped and forced into an elaborate death game orchestrated by a group of sadistic clowns in an abandoned compound called 'Heaven's Hell.' The film explores themes of survival, sadism, and psychopathy through the brutal challenges faced by the captives. Zombie draws inspiration from his earlier films like 'House of 1000 Corpses' and 'The Devil's Rejects,' incorporating similar visual styles, grotesque humor, and over-the-top violence. Despite its controversial reception due to its graphic content, '31' remains a distinctive entry in the modern horror genre.
