A group of college students, led by aspiring documentarian George and his girlfriend Sarah, venture into the notoriously haunted woods of Amityville for a thesis project on fear. Accompanying them are Elizabeth, George's sister; Simon, the cameraman; and Lisa, another friend. They aim to better understand personal fears and record an experience in one of America's most haunted towns. Soon after entering the woods, they encounter terrifying apparitions of an eerie female figure. This paranormal activity escalates over time, leading the group to realize that the evil within Amityville is ancient and malevolent, posing a threat that they are unprepared to handle.
