Storia
Ararat follows a young man who becomes involved in the making of a film about the Armenian genocide while being interrogated by a customs officer. The movie interweaves this modern-day story with the historical events and their portrayal in the film within the film.
Riassunto
Set against the backdrop of the Armenian Genocide, Ararat explores the complex relationship between history, memory, and cinema through its nonlinear narrative. The film is directed by Atom Egoyan and stars Charles Aznavour as a Turkish filmmaker attempting to make an honest movie about the atrocities committed against the Armenians during World War I.
