Trama
Captain Alan Gaskell captains a tramp steamer carrying a secret cargo of British gold between Hong Kong and Singapore. On board are his fiery mistress Dolly and his refined fiancée Sybil Barclay, causing tension due to their rivalry for Captain Gaskell's affection. During the voyage, Asian pirates take over the ship seeking the gold. After temporarily regaining control, Captain Gaskell discovers that Dolly and her drinking companion Jamesey MacArdle are implicated in the crime. Despite this revelation, he must focus on navigating a dangerous typhoon threatening the ship.
