Trama
An English couple, Colin and Caroline, travel to Venice to mend their strained relationship. On their first night, they follow a stranger named Robert into his home where he regales them with disturbing stories from his childhood while getting them drunk on wine. The next day, they encounter Robert again and accept another invitation to his opulent apartment. There, they meet his lover, Carla, and witness the couple's unsettling dynamic. Colin becomes increasingly drawn to Carla, leading to complications in his relationship with Caroline. The film culminates in a tense confrontation at an empty theater.
