Architect Ray Reardon meets Lena at an art gallery and they quickly marry despite knowing little about each other. They have a child together and initially seem happy. However, strange incidents begin to occur which cause Ray to suspect that he doesn't know his wife as well as he thought. He starts to realize that Lena has a mysterious past and may not be who she appears to be.
