When their money scam runs aground, a group of would-be thieves turn to kidnapping in an attempt to blackmail their target.
Riassunto
When their counterfeit operation implodes, a desperate crew turns to kidnapping for profit. Meanwhile, small-time crook Frank Muzzy drags his alcoholic buddy Eddie into a scheme involving $250k worth of cigarettes bound for Mexico. But fate intervenes when their truck goes up in flames, leaving them holding an empty bag. Desperate to recoup the loss and avoid the wrath of mobster Spider, Frank spirals into a reckless plan. He learns that Crystal Harkness, wife of a powerful tycoon, was once a strip dancer with a priceless necklace buried alongside her. Convincing Eddie to exhume the corpse, they find only an empty grave. Undeterred, Frank brings Crystal home and demands a ransom from her husband. As tensions rise and their scheme unravels, Eddie finds himself inexplicably smitten with the deceased Crystal.
