Trama
During World War II, an American flyer who joined the RAF before his country entered the war recovers from a leg injury in Jerusalem. Through an English friend, he meets a quiet Jewish girl whose close-knit family originally came from Spain. The two are drawn to each other but face obstacles due to their diverse backgrounds. She is convinced that their differing religions and cultures mean they can never be together, despite his Protestant minister father and her own Jewish faith. Throughout their time in Jerusalem, they keep running into each other yet frequently part ways, torn between their attraction and the perceived impossibility of their relationship.
