Storia
For Lovers Only follows an American photographer who runs into an old flame while on assignment in Paris. Upon reuniting, they rekindle their love affair and decide to flee together, embarking on a journey across France by train, car, and motorcycle from Normandy to St. Tropez. Throughout their trip, the couple experiences periods of carefree bliss interspersed with moments of guilt and confusion. The film's climax leaves the outcome of their affair open to interpretation.
Riassunto
Directed by Michael Polish in 2011, For Lovers Only is an independent romantic drama inspired by Claude Lelouch’s A Man and a Woman and the French New Wave. Set predominantly in France, the film explores themes of rekindled love, spontaneity, and the complexities of relationships. Although classified as a comedy-drama-romance, it offers more depth than your average romantic flick.
