Storia
Esben returns home from three years at the front during WWI, hoping to reunite with his wife Kirstine and son Karl. However, he finds that a charming German officer, Gerhard, has taken his place in their lives while he was away. Esben hides out and observes as Gerhard tries to win Kirstine's heart and replace him as Karl's father. As tensions rise, Esben struggles to save his family and fight for their love amidst the horrors of war.
