In Darkness tells the true story of Leopold Socha, a thief and burglar who risks his own life to save a dozen Jewish refugees in the Nazi-occupied Polish city of Lvov. Initially motivated by greed, Socha hides the refugees for 14 months in the sewers beneath his apartment building, charging them for their safety.
