Trama
Set in the Southern United States, 'Lightning Bug' follows the life of Green (Bret Harrison), a young boy with a passion for special-effects makeup artistry who dreams of escaping his unhappy life and making it big in Hollywood. However, several obstacles threaten to hold him back. His stepfather is an abusive alcoholic who terrorizes his mother, and religious zealots want to destroy his work due to its 'demonic' nature.
