Detective Jack Grimaldi (Gary Oldman) is a corrupt cop with ties to the Mafia, juggling his loving wife Natalie and adoring mistress Sheri. When he becomes involved in an assassination plot against Mona Demarkov (Lena Olin), a ruthless Russian mob assassin, things spiral out of control.
