Storia
A young American man, Evan (Lou Taylor Pucci), traveling through Europe after a family tragedy, arrives in Italy where he meets and falls deeply in love with Louise (Nadia Hilker), a woman harboring a dark secret. Louise suffers from an ancient curse that causes her to age rapidly and physically transform into something monstrous during the spring season. Evan, blinded by love, initially dismisses signs of her abnormality but eventually accepts her for who she is, even after witnessing her terrifying transformation firsthand.
Riassunto
Spring (2014), directed by Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson, is a unique blend of horror, romance, drama, and science fiction that draws inspiration from the cosmic horror of H.P. Lovecraft. The film follows Evan, a troubled young man seeking solace in travel after his father's death, who finds unexpected love with Louise in the Italian countryside. Spring explores themes of love, acceptance, and the horrors hidden beneath seemingly ordinary appearances. Despite its supernatural premise, the film remains grounded in emotional realism, making it a compelling exploration of how far one would go for love.
