Storia
Sarah Morton, a British crime novelist seeking inspiration for her next book, travels to her publisher's summer house in Southern France. Initially enjoying the solitude, Sarah's tranquility is disrupted by the arrival of John's daughter Julie, who is reckless and sexually charged. Their contrasting personalities clash, causing tension between them. As Sarah's creative process begins to blend with a possible real-life murder involving Julie, an increasingly unsettling series of events unfold.
Riassunto
Directed by François Ozon in 2003, 'Swimming Pool' is an erotic thriller that follows the story of author Sarah Morton. While seeking inspiration for her next book in the French countryside, Sarah's routine is disrupted by the arrival of her publisher's daughter Julie. The film explores themes of conflict between generations and cultures, as well as the blurring line between fantasy and reality. Starring Charlotte Rampling and Ludivine Sagnier, 'Swimming Pool' is a Hitchcockian mystery with elements of eroticism.
