Trama
Third Person (2013) interweaves three stories set in different cities to explore the complexities of love and relationships. The narrative follows an unnamed novelist struggling to write about the beginning, middle, and end of a relationship.
The first story unfolds in Paris where a woman named Julia is accused of abusing her 7-year-old son Sam by a man claiming to be his father, while she insists that he's not. Meanwhile, her husband Rick, a successful novelist, is having an affair with Anna, a French woman he met in Italy.
The second story takes place in New York City where Scott, a wealthy American businessman, meets Monika, a young German woman who claims to be his long-lost daughter, after she discovers him through an online dating site. They develop a close bond despite her suspicious behavior.
In the third storyline set in Rome, a man named John is having an affair with Anna's sister, also named Anna, while she's married to Mario, a painter who is battling cancer. John is secretly planning to leave his wife for Anna but faces complications when he discovers that Mario has found out about their affair.
Throughout the film, these interconnected stories explore themes of love, betrayal, loss, and redemption as each character struggles with their own demons.
