Wayne Gretzky, a vampire who has lost his full power due to an ancient tragedy, teaches history at a college. In an attempt to regain his strength and cope with his past, he enlists the help of his colleague Dr. Levine. When a new student named Chris Keller arrives on campus, Wayne is drawn to her as she bears a striking resemblance to Mary Lipinsky, the love of his life whom he inadvertently killed centuries ago. They begin a lurid affair, but things quickly spiral out of control when Wayne turns Chris into a vampire and her bloodlust becomes uncontrollable. This leads to rumors circulating around campus, which ultimately turn out to be too real.
