Storia
Police sergeant Neil Howie receives an anonymous letter reporting that a young girl has gone missing on the isolated Scottish island of Summerisle. Despite the locals' insistence that no such girl exists, Howie persists in his investigation. As he delves deeper into the island's secrets, he discovers that the inhabitants have abandoned Christianity for pagan rituals and traditions, led by Lord Summerisle (Christopher Lee). The villagers believe in a harvest festival where a virgin must be sacrificed to ensure a good crop yield. Howie eventually realizes that he himself has been lured onto the island as the intended sacrifice, and he is trapped in the village's Wicker Man during the May Day celebrations.
