She represented Italy at the Miss Universe contest in 1981. Parietti had a son named Francesco Oppini with her former husband Franco Oppini when she was 20 years old.

Trama
Il Macellaio follows Alina, an art gallery owner in Palermo who is unsatisfied with her marriage to Daniele, a distant conductor whom she cannot have children with.
