Storia

In the outskirts of London, psychiatrist Dr. Max Raphael and his wife Stella move with their son Charlie to run an asylum. Stella's curiosity about one of her husband's inmates, Edgar Stark, grows into a passionate affair after she encounters him during her son's visits. Edgar, a sculptor, was found guilty for murdering and disfiguring his former wife in a fit of jealousy. Their secret relationship continues until Edgar escapes from the asylum, forcing Stella to make a difficult decision between her family and her illicit love.
