In the mid-1960s, she became a sex symbol with roles like the hedonistic widow in 'The Carpetbaggers' (1964), and later starred in several giallo and horror films in Europe after relocating there due to legal disputes. Baker appeared in supporting roles in acclaimed dramas such as 'Star 80' (1983) and 'Native Son' (1986). She retired from acting in 2003.
