Shinato Ruri was a Japanese actress, model, and gravure idol fromHakusan, Ishikawa. She was born in Hokkaido as the youngest of three siblings and later moved to Ishikawa Prefecture.
She went to Tokyo Metropolitan National High School and graduated from Sophia University's Faculty of Letters majoring in German literature.
She won MISS FLASH in 2013 along with Ikeda Yuko and Nagai Rina. She was also active as a gravure idol unit G☆Girls but graduated the group on February 26, 2016. At the same time, she also quit her gravure idol career to concentrate on acting.
On October 31, 2018, she left Legend Talent Agency and worked as a freelancer for about a year. After that, she joined G-STAR.PRO Co., Ltd. At the same time, she completely graduated from being a gravure idol and changed into an actress.
In the 5th episode of "Hanzawa Naoki", she played the role of an unmotivated employee, and her unrestrained performance suddenly attracted attention on SNS.
On August 28, 2020, her family went to her house in Tokyo because they couldn't contact her, and she was found collapsed on the floor. Later, it was confirmed she died at 31 years old due to a chronic illness, and as a result of site inspection, it has been concluded that there is no possibility of incident or suicide. The sudden death was announced on the 31st of the same month by her office.

"Umi Tóddó is an experienced actress known for her captivating performances. Born in Japan, she began her career in films with a notable role in the 2009 thriller 'The Faceless Dead,' where she portrayed a woman mistakenly told she was hospitalized. After appearing in a short film titled 'Chichi no kôzu' in 2013, Tóddó made her international debut in the Netflix series 'The Naked Director' (2019). In this series, which chronicles legendary porn director Toru Muranishi's efforts to revolutionize Japan's adult industry, Tóddó delivers a standout scene. Storia
