Born as Jana Lynne Ramsey on January 29, 1981, in Los Angeles, California, Brooklynne James is an American actress and stunt performer. Her career began at the early age of five when she was discovered during a family vacation to Sea World, leading to initial work in modeling and department store advertisements. Although her family later moved to the mountain community of Big Bear Lake, she returned to her passion for performance after high school, moving to Belgium to study theater at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and co-founding an improv comedy group.
Upon returning to Los Angeles with a degree in hand, she established herself in the industry with roles in notable television series such as Criminal Minds, True Detective, and Dexter. Beyond her mainstream television work, she is also recognized for her appearances in films like The Gambler and comedies such as American Sex Tape.
