Claire Elizabeth Foy, born April 16, 1984 in Stockport, England, is an English actress. She studied acting at Liverpool John Moores University and the Oxford School of Drama. After graduating in 2007, she moved to London's Peckham district. Her screen debut was in 'Being Human' (2008), followed by roles in 'Little Dorrit', 'Season of the Witch', 'The Promise', and 'Crossbones'. She gained international recognition as Queen Elizabeth II in Netflix's 'The Crown', winning a Golden Globe and Emmy for her performance.
