She was born on April 10, 1988, in Zhdanov (now known as Mariupol), in the Ukrainian SSR of the Soviet Union. Her birth name is the same as her professional name, Irina Anatolievna Gorbacheva.
Gorbacheva rose to international prominence for her lead role as Katya in the 2017 film Arrhythmia (Aritmiya). Her nuanced performance as the pained and aloof doctor wife of a paramedic earned her several prestigious honors, including the Golden Eagle Award and the Nika Award for Best Actress, which are often considered the Russian equivalents of the Golden Globes and Oscars.
Beyond her breakthrough in Arrhythmia, she is known for her work in other notable projects like The Story of an Appointment (2018), No Escapes (2020), and the popular TV series Chiki.
