Kate Gartside initially drew public attention in 1987 through an episode of "Casualty". Her debut did not immediately spark an intense passion for acting, as she did not appear again until four years later in the British film "Close My Eyes". Subsequently, she secured a role in "Sister My Sister" before securing consistent work in the British series "All Quiet on the Preston Front". Upon completing her stint there, Gartside transitioned to the crime drama "Backup", where she played a police detective. She evidently relished this role, as she reprised it in the series "City Central". Her most recent cinematic appearance also marked her first nude scene in the film "Elephant Juice", which offers a convoluted and clichéd glimpse into life in London.
