Liesel Hanson, born and raised in Los Angeles, California, struggled with mental health issues such as depression and OCD throughout her life. Her journey towards becoming an actor was marked by these personal challenges. She sought solace through platonic friendships and therapeutic relationships with sex workers, but often found herself triggered by these encounters. Despite these obstacles, Hanson held onto her dream of acting, with Becca, a fellow actor, serving as a source of inspiration.
