Lyudmila Shiryaeva starred as Sappho Lovell in 'Sappho' (2008), a film about a wealthy daughter who arrives on the Greek island of Lesbos for her honeymoon and becomes involved in a complex love triangle with her husband Phil and Helene, the daughter of a Russian archaeologist. The story explores themes of passion, sexuality, and reincarnation, inspired by the ancient poetess Sappho.
