Madalina Mariescu, born and raised in Romania, gained international recognition for her role as the lead character 'Katarina' in the 2010 action-thriller film 'Born to Raise Hell'. The movie follows a hardened Interpol agent assigned to an Eastern European task force targeting gun trafficking and drug running throughout the Balkans. After his team becomes entangled in a deadly street war between a Gypsy gang and Russian dealers, resulting in the death of one member, Mariescu's character seeks vengeance while leading her team on an action-packed quest for justice.
