Mieke De Groote starred as herself in the 2014 film series 'Amateurs'. She, along with her local theater group 'De Pajotters', aimed to win the national prize for amateur groups, 'Het Koninklijk Landjuweel'. To improve their chances, they hired renowned director Stany Krets to guide them in performing Sophocles' tragedy 'Antigone'.
