Born on April 3, 1936, in England, UK, the actress known professionally as Paddy Madden began her life with the birth name Emma Hatfields.
She first established her acting career in the United Kingdom, appearing in notable films such as The Vikings (1958), where she portrayed a disgraced wife. In the mid-1970s, she moved to Australia, where she found success in both film and stage productions. She is perhaps best remembered for her role in the 1975 Australian comedy film The True Story of Eskimo Nell.
Throughout her career in her adopted home, she was a respected figure in the Australian entertainment industry, eventually settling in the Blue Mountains region of New South Wales. In her later years, she dedicated herself to conducting acting classes and performing, even while facing a prolonged illness. She passed away on January 6, 2016, in Katoomba, Australia, at the age of 79.
