"Among the rigorous proving grounds for aspiring actresses seeking renown is daytime television drama, often referred to as soap operas. In the mid-1980s, a determined young woman with skin like rich chocolate, lips sweetly full, and eyes that danced with passion, ambition, intelligence, and warmth emerged on ABC's 'Ryan's Hope', announcing her arrival as an actress of considerable promise.
