Growing up in the Roman suburbs, she showed an early passion for performance, winning the Miss Teenager title at age 13 before making her acting debut a year later in La ballata di Eva.

Her mainstream breakthrough arrived in the mid-1990s through her collaboration with director Carlo Verdone in the cult hits Viaggi di nozze and I'm Crazy About Iris Blond.
